Midnight Freedom

I woke

The nights silence opened like the wings of a hurricane

The rhythm of love erupt

Body writhes in the raptures of love

We said we could

We said we should

Hormones raging we knew we would

Pain carves welts in my flesh

The sirens  screech out our names

What once was love has turned to shame

What once was joy has turned to pain

They slammed their fist into the door

I packed my stuff

I’d had enough

I would be their punching bag no more

I heard them snore

The wind it hummed

I knew this was my final chance

I had to go

We could no longer dance

My makeup worked at a glance

Night turns to day

My breath still laboured

I am still lost but Im searching for the way

I kneel here now upon bended knee

I look within to find hope

    I see the bud

    I see the flower

As the garden with in begins to bloom

    I grasp my heart

    Is this is my hour

I sing once more

My words set free

I am I and I am is me.
